‘Boro to Host D’Youville College in Non-Conference Game The Edinboro Fighting Scot men’s basketball team will Men’s Probable Starters host the Spartans of D’Youville College on Monday, Jan. 19, at McComb Fieldhouse with tip-off scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Edinbtiro is now 12-4 overall and 3-1 in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference after splitting a pair of games last week. The Scots have won 11 of their last 13 games. Upshaw, the PSAC West’s Rookie of the Week for the past two weeks, had a game-high 12 rebounds and continues to lead the Scots on the boards aver­ aging 7.3 rebounds per game. Butler is currently second on the team averaging 6.8. Chance (18.3), Butler (16.6), and Ogden (10.7) are the Boro’s top scorers. The Scots continue to hit from behind the three point line as the team averages just over 7.1 treys per game. Ogden has hit a team-best 49 from behind the arc, and Is averaging 3.1 makes per game. Chance has hit a Boro-best .410 of his attempted threes. In Saturday’s win over Shippensburg, the Scots hit 51 percent of their shots from the floor, includ­ ing a torrid .586 in the second half. As a team, the Scots recorded their highest free throw percent­ age, converting on nine of 10 attempts. Ogden is appraoching a career milestone, the senior guard needs only 15 more points to break the 1,000-polnt plateau. Ogden holds five Edinboro records for three-point shooting, including threes in a single game (10 vs. Indiana, PA), threes in a season (106) and career (267). D’Youville College comes in to tonight’s game with an 0-14 record. The Spartans are led by fresh­ man Rob Brodie. The 6-1 forward is averaging a team-best 8 points per game while also leading the squad in rebounds with 7.3 per contest. ^ D’Youville was in action this weekend as they dropped games to both Keuka College and Cazenovia College. The Fighting Scots will next be in action on Wednesday, Jan. 21, when they host Central State out of Ohio. The marauders were 11-7 going into games this past weekend. The game is scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. start time at McComb Fieldhouse.
