Basketball The varsity basketball program has had steady growth, both in quantity and quality, since its inception in 1962. The teams have always had a successful won-loss record, but team data has been kept for only the past six years. The Huskiettes have a winning percentage of 79% for this span of time. During the last three years of competition the team has won 26 games and lost 4 for a winning percentage of 86.6%. The 1973-74 team went undefeated, a "first" in the history of all women's sports at SSC. The 1974-75 Huskiettes sported a record of ten wins and one loss during regular season play. In addition to their outstanding record this team also accomplished a "first" - they were the first SSC women's basketball team ever selected to participate in the EAIAW (Eastern Association for Intercollegiate Athletics for Women) Invitational Basketball Tournament held at Edinboro State College on March 8 and 9, 1975. The highlight of the tournament for the Huskiettes was their upset victory over third-seeded Villanova University. WON~ YOU BECOME A PART OF THE BASKETBALL TRADITION AT SSC?
