Catalog Description: Many traditional mediums are offered in art. This course introduces the student to new and emerging art media from the late 19th century to the present dealing with themes such as collaboration, identity, appropriation, open sourcing, telepresence, surveillance, corporate parody, intervention and hacktivism, and social justice. These new art forms include digital painting, projection, animation, virtual art, interactive art, video games, 3D printing, and biotechnology. D.
