A great deal depends on whether the seven returnees, which includes four seniors, stay healthy. The four seniors are co-captains James McCue (1968-69-lst in Penna. Conf., 4th in NAIA) at heavyweight and Mike Shull at 118 pounds, plus Wayne Smythe at 134 pounds and John Weiss (3rd in Penna. Conf.) at 142 lbs. This foursome should provide the experience and maturity to lead the rest of the team to an outstanding season. Bloomsburg ranked ninth (9th) in the NAIA last year with an 11-5 won/ loss record. Although the Huskies face outstanding opponents each season, this is probably the toughest schedule that Bloomsburg has ever had. Leading the opposition will be Iowa State University, the number one team in the nation for the past two years. The Pennsylvania Conference is no longer dominated by one or two teams. 'This year should be the most competitive year to date to determine the state champion. The leading state college opponents will be Lock Haven, Clarion, East Stroudsburg, Slippery Rock, · Edinboro, and West Chester. The main loss through graduation is Captain Arnold Thompson who was a two-time Pennsylvania State Conference Champion and placed 3rd in the NAIA National Tournament. Other returning lettermen are Frank Saranelli, a junior from Dover, N .J., at 134 lbs.; Doug Grady (3rd in Penna. Conf.) , a junior from Hatboro, at 158-167 lbs.; Kevin Hays, a sophomore from Dover, N.J., at 158 lbs.; Floyd Hitchock (3rd in Penna. Conf., ' 3rd in NAIA), a sophomore from Wyalusing, at 177 lbs.; Ronald Sheehan (6th in NAIA), a sophomore from Drexel Hill, at 190 lbs.; Bob Hummel (3rd in Penna. Conf.), a sophomore from Cedar Cliff High School, Harrisburg, at heavyweight. RUSSELL E. HOUK HEAD WRESTLING COACH Russell E.
