OUTSTANDING VETERANS EARL MAYERESKY - 5'11", 210 lbs., senior - a tough and quick defensive tackle who can also play linebacker if needed; earned his high school letters at Mahanoy Area; will be heavily counted on the interior line this year. JOHN McCAULEY - 5'11", 180 lbs., - an Athens H.S. product who is developing all the moves of a great running back; will add outside dimension to the offense. WALT CIESLUKOWSKI - 6'3", 215 lbs., - has two years of varsity experience and had a number of excellent performances at the defensive end position; played for Shenandoah High. WALT SAVITTS - 6'4", 220 lbs., - looks very strong at defensive end; this Abington Heights product will add plenty of size to the front four. SEASON'S OUTLOOK The Huskies seem ready to snarl this year after a long rebuilding season in 1974 (1-7-1). Last year's young squad has developed, and Coach Bill Sproule's team appears to be ready with experience, depth, and size. Offensively, the Huskies have nine starters returning; the line is led by senior guard Steve Debuski and junior end Mike Steigerwalt, while backs junior John McCauley and sophomores Tony Moore and Ken Zipko will add punch to the running attack. Big Walt Ciesluko.wski, junior end, and senior tackle Earl Mayeresky will spark the front four on defense along with junior linebacker Dave Hower. A completely new defensive backfield enjoys both speed and size and will be tough to attack successfully. Spring practice was outstanding with plenty of hard hitting. The Huskies are looking forward to a big improvement in 1975.
